I know, I know! You finally have the time and opportunity to schedule your photo shoot. You just want to set it and forget it. But, to be successful you have to have a plan. That is just life 101. So the first step is the consultation, to begin developing a plan for a successful shoot.
What does a consultation with me look like? We will talk about your goals, what is your objective or purpose for the shoot and who is your target audience? If you have ever worked with me, you know I love inspiration boards with images of different options for the shoot to help my clients define their image story.
Location, location, location. Are we shooting on location at a special venue or a park or cafe or a well known landmark in your city? Maybe the studio would be the best choice or maybe a little of both. We have to figure that out. After reviewing a board of ideas, most clients know it when they see it and their vision is honed in on and we can move forward from there to the next step. Now we choose a date and assemble a dream team of make up and hair artist and assistants. Create a detailed shoot schedule and shot list. Whew!
